Smart Turnstiles for Tatenergo’s Headquarters

Infomatika has completed a project to modernize the entrance area at Tatenergo JSC’s headquarters in Kazan. The facility now features Contour Bio smart turnstiles and a customized Concept Duo automated gate.

Tatenergo JSC is one of the largest energy companies in the Republic of Tatarstan, generating electricity and heat for the region. Its headquarters houses the company’s management departments, making reliable access control for employees and visitors an essential part of building security.

As part of the project, Infomatika’s specialists installed Contour Bio smart turnstiles, creating four controlled passage lanes. A key requirement was to allow employees to continue using their existing access cards. To achieve this, readers compatible with the client’s cards were selected, and the equipment was integrated with the facility’s existing access control system. The turnstiles feature integrated IP cameras and support the future addition of biometric identification.

The equipment was customized to reflect Tatenergo’s corporate branding. The turnstiles and automated gate feature lighting in the client’s corporate color, while the Concept Duo glass panels carry branded graphics. The gate provides access for VIPs and allows bulky goods to be moved through the entrance. An Accent 975 barrier system completes the entrance area.

An automated system collects temporary visitor passes: on departure, visitors return their cards to a card collector, which then enables passage. This provides controlled card collection and reduces the risk of loss. Security personnel operate the turnstiles and gate from their workstation using three separate control panels.

Particular attention was paid to integration with the building’s safety and security systems. The equipment is connected to the security and fire alarm systems to ensure unobstructed evacuation in an emergency.
