Next-Generation Smart Turnstiles at Elektrozavodskaya Station on MCD-3
Infomatika continues to participate in the modernization of Moscow’s turnstile infrastructure. Two next-generation M2030 smart turnstiles have been installed at Elektrozavodskaya station on MCD-3—the first Moscow-made units deployed on the Moscow Central Diameters network.
The M2030 model supports modern fare payment methods: bank and transport cards, including Troika and virtual Troika, NFC, the Faster Payments System (SBP), QR codes, and biometrics. The equipment was designed with particular attention to passenger convenience, structural reliability, and efficient use of space in station entrance areas.
To improve passenger convenience, the turnstiles feature enhanced indicator lights and a unique haptic feedback function designed to assist passengers with visual impairments. Thanks to their compact design, the station’s passenger throughput is expected to increase by up to 40%, allowing passengers to move through the entrance area more quickly during peak hours.
Turnstile infrastructure is being upgraded across both the metro and rail networks. Infomatika’s next-generation smart turnstiles have already been installed at five Moscow Metro stations, at Leningradsky railway station, and at the Moscow Transport Unified Dispatch Center.
“At the direction of Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin, we are continually improving the quality of passenger service. For example, we are making fare payment more convenient across Moscow’s transport network,” said Maxim Liksutov.
Next-generation equipment will also be installed at upgraded stations along the Yaroslavsky and Paveletsky rail routes. By the end of 2031, more than 4,500 next-generation turnstiles are planned for installation across the metro, the Moscow Central Circle (MCC), the Moscow Central Diameters (MCD), and railway stations.
